equipment - telescopes Celstron 9¼" (235mm) Schmidt-Cassegrain An amazing telescope. It's one of the best telescopes I've looked through that is close to being affordable. If you ever get a chance to look through one, please do. To me it's only drawback is it's very limited field of view, thus I purchased... Meade 6" (152mm) Schmidt-Newtonian For the money, a very nice little scope. It has an incredible field of view, easily taking in all of Orion's sword, the Pleiades, or the Andromeda Galaxy in one view. Astrovisioneer 80mm refractor (sold) Before the 6" SN, this was my wide field scope. It was limited to 1¼" eyepieces and thus had a narrower maximum field than the 6" using 2" eyepieces. For a fast achromatic refractor, it had very little false color. These are no longer sold from the place I purchased it, if you have the chance to purchase one, I recommend it. |
